Descriptionround basket of spruce root and cedar bark with an openwork z twist, radial start base and an openwork, cross warp, z twined body. warps are turned back one to the left at trim and secured with a single row of z twining. basket has a twisted and plaited handle. top and bottom are closely woven.by the looks of the basket, it is all spruce root and no cedar in the basket. could be just the discoulouration that makes it look like cedar bark. and it would have been used to gather seaweed by the way it is woven.
