Descriptionlarge open work basket with a radial start. parallel warps are held in place by z twined single wefts spaced 1cmm apart. the rim decoration consists of a lower edge of 2 weft strands twined close together, a 5cm band of cross warp open work and is finished by each warp strand being carried to the left and secured by a single row of z twining, and cut off on the outside of the basket. the rim is strengthened in several placed by a spruce root binding overlaid on the edge. two handles, on opposite sides of the basket, are in an inverted u form. they are made of 2-4 ply spruce root. these are joined by a loop handle of diagonal checkerwork cedar bark. two small handles are attached to the rim equidistant between the side handles.
