DescriptionBlack and white photograph of North Coast Timber, Skidegate Lake. This is the "Hay-Rack" method of raising and loading logs. It is said to have been developed by Ed Crawford of Port Clements. It could be used on land or water. Here "Locie" is positioning rail car to receive logs.
