DescriptionBlack and white photo of the first ocean-going steamer to enter Masset Inlet. The British Empire docked at Queenstown where she stayed for four days unloading machinery for the coal company Wright & Green. Shed and small wharf were James Martin's. All supplies unloaded via rafts and small boats.
