DescriptionBlack and white photo of Pacofi in 1941. The first two letters of Pacific Coast Fisheries make up the name Pacofi. At this time it was operated by B.C. Packers and boasted a two-line cannery and a 10 ton reduction plant. It was the site of one of the earliest fishing plants on the islands in 1910 when a cold storage, reduction & ice plant was built by Alvo von Alvesleben. It also ran as a saltery for a time.
