DescriptionHaida formline design of the Skidegate Repatriation Butterfly. The idea of the butterfly was brought to the attention of the Skidegate Repatriation & Cultural Committee (SRCC) by Margaret Hewer. The butterfly represents the messenger of the departed souls. It is also said to be a symbol of the travelling spirits, those departed and misplaced that are wandering about. This design was done by the Late Brad Collinson and adopted by the SRCC as their logo.
