Canadian Museum of History

Here are some ginaXan that are in the collection of the Canadian Museum of History, there are well over 2000 ginaXan there. Some of these were from 1820-1920(collected during those times).

Ranging from stone tools, bentwood boxes, grease bowls/dishes, naaxiin robes, spruce root basketry, cedar basketry, and so on.

Some of these are also in the Haida Art book by George MacDonald, while he worked at CMH.

We always love to see our collection in the world, but now we are adding them to our Repatriation Section of the Haida Gwaii Museum Database (one day to repatriate ginaXan from each museum, but not all of it).
