DescriptionThis monochromatic print is from Marek Zaleski's "Fragments" series which was part of his larger exhibition, "Legends". This photograph was taken in Sgaang Gwaii, an ancient site on the West Coast of Canada.

This print shows a close up image of a section of a totem pole. This pole was carved to pay respect to the spirits for trees that were cut at Skun Gwaii hundreds of years ago. The pole is very weathered by the sun, winds, and ocean.
