Descriptionbas relief carving; painted. made of 2 halves, both head and handle. handle wrapped in bark and holds head together. filled with 9 small pebbles. hole through base of handle for a strap. design; large face on each side, 1 side low relief carving, other higher. high side appears to be a killerhwale face, painted red and black. small killerhwale face in mouth of larger head. revverse head with single round nostril, faces may represent sea monster.
