Descriptionopen, carved ssides; bottom missing. rectangualr box with steamed corners, bulging sides, ends carved in high relief. one end, full face, circular shape facing toward rim, ohter end large bird head, with short hawk like beak, faccing out. fine carving on sides ressembles wings of bird. base missing, .. for it still in place. Newcombe notes; 'box, square, with cover of mat, was Chief Klew's. a very fine carved specimen.'
