DescriptionBlack and white photo of sign nailed to tree at Sgang Gwaay village. Text is as follows: Anthony Island Park- This is the site of the ancient Haida Indian village known as Ninstints. Its people decimated by disease & war moved to Skidegate about 1890. This island has been designated a Provincial Park and any person who damages or removes any totem pole or other relic is punishable by law. Dept. of Recreation and Conservation.
