Descriptionfor red ochre, of leather folded and sewn together along bottom and side. sewing is 1 1/2-2in from edge of leather, leaving fringe which is cut in alternating wide strips and sections of narrow strips. rim is pierced once on each side. one side has painted figure of a person, viewed from the front with arms and legs at sides. other side has split representation of bird with hooked beak, wings and tail. designs are in black and red. leather is red inside, and tinged red outside from the ochre.
