DescriptionLarge classically-shaped copper shield with 3 rectangular pieces removed. Faint evidence of design evident in top convex portion of shield. Cuttings appear to have been done with different tools; two with an axe or chisel, and one with a saw. The copper has oxidized, revealing green and brown colours in the patina.On View
