Black electrical tape has been wrapped around the shaft at intervals to fortify and provide grip. An original portion of cotton cord wrapping is found at the base of the shaft. A portion of the flared handle has broken off. A crack along the wood grain runs from the base of the paddle, approximately 76 cm long. Another crack ,about 46 cm long is evident near the belly of the painted killerwhale design.Exhibition HistoryDisplayed in the Vancouver Art Gallery's exhibition, Raven Travelling, in 2006.
