BiographyBob Beitush was born in Russia in 1887 and came to Tlell in 1912. Following the example of his neighbours, the Turneys, he took up sheep farming as a profession, and had a fine vegetable and fruit farm which drew visitors and customers from all over the islands. Generous with the use of his land, he permitted picnics and ball games whenever people requested and few large gatherings at Tlell were held anywhere but "down at Bob's".
