Descriptionfloat, carved froma single piece of light weight wood ( red cedar ( stained a reddish brown in the shape of an aquatic bird (?). bird is carved in floating position with wings folded flat on back and upper inner edge of wings marked by short diagonal incised line at each side. tail is outlined by largge v shaped incised line with individual feathers of tail delineated by invised oblique lines. bird has rounded belly which is squared off at rear beneath tail. bird has small rounded head and long tapering pointed beak with opening of beak delineated on either side by invised line. long neck is circular in cross section. small circular eyes with hole at centre formed by pink with white circular beads set into wood. deep circular depression carved in centre of body.
