Descriptionconsisting of 73 gambling sticks in skin bag. bag, consists of a rectangular piece of untanned skin folded over at one end to form a pouch (14.5cm x18cm) to hold gambling sticks, with sided seams seewn with two rows of heavy white thread in a running stitch (much of stitching now missing) and rest of skin forming a flap for wrapping around pouch. a skin thong (approx. 0.7cm wide) for wrapping around closed pouch is tacked with thrread to centre of rounded end of flap on exterior surfacce. a flat rrectangualr piece of ivory...
the gambling sticks themselves have many different markings of black and red paint bands going around the sticks. some are separated at different lengths to show the difference in the gambling stick game.
