Descriptionstraight sided cylinder type with the sides slightly flaring from rectangualr base to form oval mouth. flat base consists of a warp and weft of cedar bark of equal width and flexibility worked in checker weave. the bark foundationi is then bent over the sides and split (except four along one long side) to become a double warp strand with the junction between the base and body fastened with a single row of s twist twill twining. body is worked in checker weave as above with an additional row of two ply s twist twining worked around the mouth. to form the rim, the warp strands are bent to the exterior and secured with a single row of two ply s twist twined weave. double handle of braided cedar bark is knotted through second weft row on one longer side.
