Descriptionline, for fishing, made from several lengths of kelp that have been soaked, stretched, twisted, dried and knotted together at ends to form a long narrow line, circular in cross section. knot used is made by overlapping ends and tying each end once over other end with a self knot. line is light brown in colour and coiled in roughly elliptical shape. coils is held together by short length of kelp tied around one side near end, and by one end of the fish line tied around opposite side of coil near other end. end of lines is knotted at tip.
