Descriptionhalibut hook, u shaped, of wood bent at a knot. point of wood (alder) rests in groove near end of one arm, and on the side, lashing of root holds point to arm. two ply rope of inner bark of red cedar tied around other arm and lashed on with kelp. end of this arm carved like a bird's head (gull?). the kelp has been slowly dried to shrink it.collected in Skidegate
