Descriptionspear and case: spear, male, of a metal file shaped with 6 pairs bilaterally symmetric barbs, both sides incised with single central longitudinal line. distal end has one piece copper shackle rivetted with copper rivet. lanyard of sea lion gut attached to shackle is triple loop tied to braid, with slip knot at end of cord. case, of two pieces cedar joined longitudinally is notched at end. this end is pegged, and lashed wit root. other end lashed with gur cord. both lashings rest against notches.
