Descriptiongrooved stone head lashed to wooden handle with cedar withe. head pecked and ground from single piece of beige stone into cylindrical shape. base is flat; distal end is truncated cone shape with rounded end. centtral groove (6.3cm wide) cut to run parallel to ends exteends to base. cedar withe is lashed around base of platform of handle and in groove of head. rectangular platform has handle shaft circular in cross section curving down from centre of platform.Published References'Indian Artifacts of the Northwest Coast' Hilary Stewart
