Descriptionstraight sided cylinder type with the sides perpendicular to the base and the diameter of the circular mouth only slightly larger than the base. circular base, slightly concave at the centre, has a radial start of double layers of spruce root fastened with a weft of same in two ply z twist twining technique with the weft rows spaced between 0.5cm to 1.0cm apart. the foundation is then bent over the sides to becombe a double warp with the circumference fastened with two closely spaced rows of z twist twining. in some places, the basal strands are split to form two warps with additional splints inserted into upper part of body.
