Descriptiongrooved sotne head lashed to wooden handle with strip of twisted kelp. head pecked and ground froms ingle piece of grey stone into roughly cylindrical shape. base is flat; distal end is truncated cone rounded at end. central groove (4.0cm wide) cut to run parallel to ends extends to base. strip of kelp is lashed around base of platform of handle and in groove of head. rrectangular platform has two grooves on bottom for lashing. handle shaft, circular in cross section, curved down from ccentre of platform.
