Descriptionrattle, wooden made fo two halves, head filled with noisemakers. halves held together by one wooden peg. cotton wrapping and brass wire at handle. carved as a whale. human face carved in blow hole and at the fore part of fin which have a hole behind. fin separated from back of fish and held in place by narrow band of metal. whale having its tail in its mouth. face of bird carved in tail. 4 circles on back. cracks repaired with sinew. ochre on face of fin. all painted red and black except blow hole which was blue, green.Exhibition HistoryWorld's Fair, Seattle (3-62) - (11-62) $150 U of Waterloo, Waterloo, Ont.
