Descriptionwooden rattle, globular head, carved and painted; 2 faces. made of 2 halves, held together with one peg and cord wrapping at handle and with three cord ties around head. high relief carving on one side showing face with curved nose, tongue showing. large eeyes in middle area of face. painted blue, red and black. marks under chin. low relief carving on the other side figuring hawk claws, wings on top. cracks repaired with pegs and sinew on top. piece of wood broken in top and inside head. end of handle knobbed. no noisemakers.
