Descriptionwooden rattle, globular head, carved, 2 faces and painted. made of 2 halves both head and handle. one half in two parts at handle. halves held together withh 4 pegs in handle and three sinew ties around head. high relief carved face on one side with a hawk like nose protruding, end of it on teeth of open mouth. ears carved on top. small ridge around top of head. painted red, blue and black. other side, painted only black mainly wiht lines of red to mark row of teeth and inside ears. filled with noisemakers. unpainted handle with low ridge around end of it.Exhibition HistoryHear Museum phOENIX (8-61) - (3-62) $200
