Descriptionrattle, globular head, carved and painted. made of two pieces of wood, held together with wooden pegs, skin and cord wrapping on handle and skin thong ties midway up sides and in centre top of rattle. deeply carved on one side, curved nose, large eyes middle area of face painted blue and black. mouth, corners depressed red with partt of nose around eyes and inside of ears. other side painted only black with the rest of face. cylindrical unpainted handle with small ridge around end. crracks on one side of face, repaired with narrow bands of metal. fly droppings all over.
