Descriptioncarved wood bird's head with long and narrow movable beak. edges of beak outlined in red. a red, blue and black tail design at the widest end of the lower beak section. bird's head projecting from a crown. beak has blue background with black eyes and eyebrows and light blue design on natural wood. two ear like flaps laced to bird's head with string and decorated with an animal head design in black and red on natural wood. in front of flaps a wood crosspiece nailed to head with a centre groove channelling the string pulling the lower sectioin of beak which follows another curved groove on the crown and held in place with crosswise lacing on the back edge of crown. the crown of natural wood shaped to fit man's head to which 2 sets of thonggs are knotted tot he lower sides of crown. holes in crown. traces of feathers and ddown around inside of ear flaps, in front of bird's head and on crown.
