Descriptionhook, for fishing, made from two pieces of wood (hemlock knots) of unequal length, carded to a lenticular shape in cross section. each wood split has been steamed and bent; one in shape of an l tapering to a point at short end forming a barb and other end flattened along each side except at rounded tip; the other splint is in shape of a u with one side elongated and constricted 2.8cm from tapering acute angled tip and other end flattened along each side except at rounded tip and lashed to flattened end of other splint with a strip of spruce root to form an oval shaped hook. barbed end is bent diagonally and other end extends beyond barbed end.
