Descriptioncarved from a single piece of gold coloured polished bone in roughly triangular shape with rounded cornerss. ends and straight edge are slightly concave as are upper and lower surfaces to keep labret in place within the lower lip incision. the number "983" is faintly marked in black on one surface and one edge and illegible numbers and words are marked on opposite ssurface. several small craccks through ends of labret. labret appears to have been coated with a clear varnish (?).
