Descriptioncarved froma single piece of ivory coloured polished bone with slightly concave elliptical surface tapering abruptly at sides towars similar reverse surface. surfaces and sides of labret are conccave to keep it in place within the lower lip incision. the number '398' is marked in pencil on smaller surface and 'Masset/189' is marked in black ink on larger surface.
