Descriptionbox with lid, with cedar bark rope. box, of red cedar, consists of a plank kerfed in 3 places and bent, the ends being joined with wooden pegs to form a fourth corner. cedar bas is pegged to walls. cover, hollowed in the centre and notched a the edge, fits on snugly. it is wider at the top. box is decorated with red brown and black designs: the double eyed monster to the right of the joined corner, a simpler figure opposite, and a bird on each side which faces right. the more abstracct figures are bilaterally symmetric. box and lid are tied with 2 ply cedar rope. probably used for storage.
