Descriptionbox with lid. box is made of one cedar plank, notched in 3 places on one side. steamed and bent so right angled corners form at notches. the fourth corner is joined with wooden pegs. bottom, also of cedar, is notched along the edge to fit into the box, and is attached to the sides by pegs, and some iron nails. a lid is similarly fitted to the top, though not attached. a notch at outer edge of each corner extends an inch to eacch side. this surface is painted red. rest was unpainted or black. rope of nettle fibre 2 ply, with a knot at the cross points.
