Descriptiondish, carved of block of wood (alder?), with flared, curving sides. broad rim, with squared interior lip, is convex on ends and concave on sides. ends are virtually identically carved with designs of bilaterally symmetric face. eyes are salmon heads (cf. Holm). sides have standard incising; parallel, short, horizontal lines at ends, block of vertical lines adjacent, and single line parallel to and below rim. each side is also incised with asymmetric design, resembling profile of bird head, bot facing same end. all decoration is incising and low relief; any painting is obliterated. dish is darkend from use.
