Descriptioncarved of a blocck of alder, with flared, curving sides. braod rim, concave across, has squared inner lip. rim is convex on ends, concave on sides. ends are identically carved and painted with design of bilaterally symmetric face; black and red forms, incised and low relief lines. sides are incised with short, horizontal lines at each end, then a block of vertical parallel grooves, and a single line parallel to and below rim.collected in Kaigani Alaska
