Descriptiongrooved type. head consists of a single piecce of stone which has been pecked, ground and smoothed so that it forms a point at one end. curved wooden handle made from a tree branch is oval in cross section and terminates in a flattened platform. flattened underside of head rests on this platform and is secured to handle with root? wrapped around central groove on the head and tied around bot sides of platform. '61400 Massett' is written in black ink under head.
