Descriptiona/ halibut hook, v shaped, of piece of hemlock bent at knot, with pointed end. a point of iron set in side of one arm at end, lashed with root (cedar?). spruce root lashing on other arm attaches base of rope. this arm has bird like carving at end.
b) float, tied to hook with cotton string. of cedar, with 4 ply root rope attached by root through a hole at one end of float, and tied with cotton cord at other end. one end of rope bound with copper wire, cotton thread, and root. amber coloured glue has been applied to this place. float has shape resembling body of fish minus fins and tail.
