Descriptionhalibut hook, v shaped, of one piece of wood bent at knot. square point of iron sits in groove at end of one arm, on the side, and is lashed on with cotton string, overlaid with root lashing. lead of cotton rope attached to other arrm with string, root overlaid. the string binds the end of the rope. rope is doubled, passes through the float. float has flat bottom, rounded top. sides carved out. both ends are notched. other end of rope bound with string.
