Descriptionhalibut hook, v shaped, of two pieces of wood bevelled at one end and joined by an iron nail and a steel screw. marks on wood at joint suggest presence of rope. both arms notched at this end. one arm bowed, and bent backward toward other end, which is also notched. groove with rust and string marks indicate one time presence of point of iron attached by cord lashing. other arm curves slightly away from bowed arm. a hole has been drilled near the middle of this arm.
collected in Kincolith, Nass River, was from Skidegate, Haida Gwaii, obtained about 30 or 35 years prior to 1927
