Descriptionbox and lid, of red cedar. model of burial chest, rectangular box has wall of single plank, kerffed in 3 places, bent, and pegged together at the ends. base is broader than walls, notched to fit inside walls, and pegged to walls. lid is notcehd to fit inside walls, and widens toward top. edges of lid and base are painted red, with one side of box decorated in black as anthropomorphic face and hands. see also VII-B-661, 662, 664. sits in VII-B-664.collected in Massett
