Descriptionof wood, with one end split for the insertion of bristles, possibly porcupine hair which was commonly used. this end is tighlty wrapped with root. the handle is cylindrical and has the figures of a man and a bird carved in high relief. the bird is carved perched on one end, facing th end, and the man is carved as if stalking the bird. high figure is stretched full length ... (cardstock is faded and tough to read after that).
