Descriptionstaff of yew wood, enlarges from tip to base, alternates betwween carved and uncarved sections. the tip and base are uncarved, with three carved sections in between. at tip, first carved section is of bird with extended beak on top of bear with smaller bird in its grasp. there is fin or tail ending this section. carved section in middle has owl with extended tail, on top of figure, wearing three coned hat. figure has animal face hanging from lip, and a copper in front of its body. section near base is roughly carved and appears to be man with elongated tongue or lip in front of body. this section is in opposite direction of other two.collected in Massett
