Descriptionflaring cylinder type with the sides flaring outward from the circular base, constricting at the centre then flaring slightly towards the rim. circular base, concave at the centre, has a radial start of spruce root with the multiple strands ahving a z twist. base is woven with a weft of same in two ply z twist twining technique with the rows spaced 0.4cm apart. the foundation is then bent over the sides to become the warps which are z twisted on body and straight for ... 5.0cm under the rim. in some places on the base and body, individual strands are split to form two warps. body is woven in openwork two ply z twist twining technique as on base with the weeft rows 0.3 to 0.5cm apart except for two closely spaced rows of same around the outh. to form the rim, the double warp strands are truncated, bent diagonally to the exterior over the adjacent warp and fastened with a row of two ply z twist twining. red letters '3051' 1.2cm in height on exterior 3.0cm under rim.Exhibition HistoryRavens World (7-84) - (9-88)
