Descriptionstraight sided cylinder type with the sides perpendicular to the base and the diamter of the circular mouth equal to the base. convex circular base has a radial start of spruce root ffastened with a weft of same in two ply z twist twining technique. the foundation is then bent over the sides to become the warp. body is worked in two ply z twist twining as above. decoration consists of three concentric bands of z twist twining dyed green worked around top, bottom and centre of sides and three rows worked around circumference of base. each band consists of two rows of twining with both wefts dyed green enclosing four rows with only one weft dyed green producing a checker board motif. sixth weft from the rim is raised in three ply z twist twining technique. to form the rim, the warp strands are truncated just above the last wefft row and secured with a row of s twist twining.On View
