Descriptionperforated maul, with handle attached by withes. handle is curved branch with knot carved to form platform at maul. withes pass through head and on both sides of handle. head, of heavy black stone is flat at handle surface and on one surface perpendicular to handle, for striking. perforation for withes is parallel to latter flat surface. opposite face is carved in frog like design, with broad lips and bulgingg eyes, and beginning of incised round face on top.On View
